Slate S-Gear Instability in Sonar Plat?

Hey guys and gals,
 
Has anyone else experienced instability when trying to use the new Slate S-Gear plugin in Sonar Platinum N?
By instability...I mean that when I open a project that has the S-Gear activated the CPU meters shoot through the roof and I get stuttering, etc.  It seems to clear up if I deactivate the plugin or delete and add a new instance.  This seems to happen on tracks (mono input) or busses (stereo input).  Once it clears up the project is stable until the next time.
 
I really like the sounds from this guitar sim but it's not playing well with my setup.

    It's my goto amp sim, been using it for at least a couple of years now and have not experienced what you describe.

    S-Gear works fine in Sonar Plat.
     
    not sure about the slate version or if there is anything added in the slate rack implementation.

    Are you using the vst3 version?  Try the vst2 version if you are. I've had the same symptoms with other Slate plugins.
