Me new pride and joy
Spur of the moment purchase...well not really. I'd been toying with the idea of buying a new camera for a while because I have a new website design in the wings that I need photos for, and given that I hate the idea of lugging heavy photographic gear around the Fujifilm X100T seemed like an ideal choice, a little extravagant yes but I bought it through the business so tax deductible, and I figure I can always sell it if it outlives its usefulness. Really nice little camera this, though. It feels how cameras are supposed to feel. I know there's supposed to be an updated model coming out later this year but what the hell, you can't live you life holding out for updates.

Sweet! After decades of using SLR's and DSLR's I'm craving something powerful but simple, with an old school feel. Your purchase is one that's on my short list. I can't figure out why cameras with that look and feel are so expensive compared to a DSLR.

This is only 16 megapixels too. Having said that, huge megapixel counts are overrated. The image quality in the X100T is stunning for a point and shoot. They say the best camera is the one you have on you, and I can carry this around in my bag. Small cameras are also much more fun for street photography - you don't feel so intrusive. Un-Kardashian people hate having big lenses shoved in their faces. Apparently a pro-tip for working with RAW files from this camera btw is to slam the "detail" slider in Lightroom (if you're using Lightroom) up to 100%. Just putting that out there, lol - I pick up these details all over the place and remember them.

It takes pictures of itself via the patented FujiFilm LightBend™ technology.

I've heard that's just smoke and mirrors. Especially the mirror part.

Hi, For years, I lived on a Canon AE-1. I'm now looking at a nice SLR/Digital camera ... so I can do some more rock music, if it comes around ... and the like. All in all, your camera will require a reasonable knowledge of F-Stops and Shutter Speeds, and if you have it, it will be just fine. I'm going to go away from the 35mm film altogether ... as the whole process is boring and difficult and there are not many labs that can do the film properly anymore ... Portland has 2 of them left, and one of them is slowing down because they have no students left. I'm more than likely going to get me a video camera, since I am into film, and if you look at my pictures, I have a touch for the "moment", which comes from directing, and working with actors ... and while I like to have that on a regular camera, it is much more difficult to get if you don't know the numbers and where the setup is supposed to be ... but the only thing I needed to remember was 6ft, and then come up or down from there on the F-Stop and Shutter Speeds ... if need be ... specially with a flash.
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

The cool thing about this camera is it has a WiFi link to my phone, on which I can control almost everything on the camera with an app. It's so useful, for instance I had to take a self portrait outside with my guitar for a book I collaborated on. Put the camera on a tripod, set it to a 2 second delay, connected via the app and got myself in shot by looking at the phone screen. Set everything up on the phone, tap the shutter icon and then I had 2 seconds to put the phone out of shot. I could take a whole bunch of shots and even view them all in a gallery to see which ones worked, all without even touching the camera.

My Canon, and most DSLR cameras do a great job on video work. My friends son went to study film production at university and they did most of their initial work using a DSLR. Sony is making some amazing stuff these days.
