Reassigning controllers

In my quest to get my new pc cpu performing better, I thought I'd take VST3 plugs out that weren't loading every time I open a project and insert VST2 in place of them. With that is reassigning the controllers to the VST2 copy. Most every time it worked, but on this particular bus, I got the result in the pic. I've saved, closed, and reopened, but it persists. Anyone else see SLPAT do this? Thanks

It's not entirely clear what I'm supposed to be looking at. Can you explain it please?

I show the current VST3 plug installed. I show the VST2 version replicating the former. I show the envelope currently assigned to the VST3 version. I show trying to reassign it to the VST2 version. Oddly, not only is the VST2 not available, neither is the VST3 version it's currently assigned to. Weird stuff, Bristol...

Why do you want to use VST2 instead of VST3 plugs, assuming the VST3 ones work?

Apparently they are not loading every time. One would rather want to find out why.

Most of the time, yes I would want to know. But I've spent way too much money on this system and not enjoyed it one bit for a month. I am at the point I'm grasping at straws and almost ready to take a sledge to it. I never imagined that spending $600 on the upgrade below and another $900 on the Twin USB would be worse than the old system. So, I'm eliminating anything that causes even the smallest issue.
