Input Echo Problem on Sonar LE x1, HELP!

Hey everybody!
I have a Roland Tri-Capture audio interface for my recordings and I am using Sonar LE x1 as DAW.
Recently, I started using virtual amplifier plugins through my DAW such as Guitar Rig 5 and Bias Fx.
The tones are actually really great but I only have one simple problem.
To hear the effects while I play the guitar parts in real time, I have to turn "Input Monitoring" off on my audio interface and turn "Input Echo" on in the recording track. So I can only hear the sound coming out of Sonar which puts several effects on the audio.
The sound I hear as I play is with effects. But the problem is when I turn off "Input Monitoring" and turn on "Input Echo", the sound I want to hear comes to my monitor 1 or 2 seconds later than I hit the strings. This causes some kind of problems such as I miss the beat or even if I am not recording, I cannot enjoy the pedals or amps I am using because the sound I hear is late!

There is no problem in recording without the effects and adding them after recording but I want to hear what I record as I PLAY it. I don't want to hear them afterwards.

Anyway, this is my problem and I would appreciate if you could come up with a solution to this. Thank you!

    Hi and welcome.
The delay you are hearing is due to your system latency.  If you go to preferences>audio and click the Asio control panel button (assuming you are already using audio drivers.  If not,  change the driver mode to Asio first).  Here you can adjust the audio buffer size.  The lower the setting,  the less the latency.  Try 256 and see how it goes.  If set too low your playback will begin to glitch.  Anything over 512 will give you too high a latency and too much delay.

    Bruce.

Great news! You may find as you use more synth and fx plugins during mix down you will start to get crackling during playback.  In this case either use the freeze button on some of the synths or set your buffers higher again. There is also a bypass all fx button should you need it.

     Happy recording:)
