Roland Quad-Capture and Windows 10?

I'm a hobbyist, not even an amateur, but I'd bought a Quad-Capture to "replace" my Steinberg UR22, because the UR22 has a rather hot Hi-Z input.  Even with the gain all the way down a PAF-like-loaded Les Paul can clip the input.  The QC is much better in that regard.

However, I've had horrible stability issues with Sonar and the QC under Windows 10, so much so that I've switched back to the UR22, which is fine, as I'm not working with guitar right now.
It'll be fine until Sonar crashes for some reason, then I can't get Sonar to see the ASIO driver for the QC. I can use the QC from other apps, like foobar2000, but the Sonar won't see it.  I can swap USB ports, sometimes that works, sometimes it seems loading the QC control panel and changing the sample rate works, sometimes loading the MME or WMF drivers and then switching to ASIO works.

But at this point, I'm considering selling the QC and just picking up an DI box and sticking with the UR22 (which has the added advantage of a separate volume on the headphones).

Any others had a similar experience?
