I couldn't hear the slightest bit of difference in the before and after examples in that video.
Which is impressive, because I listened to it through the mono speaker on my phone...lol
So it would appear to be nicely mono compatible.

It looks like an interesting mono-widener tool kit. It has multiple options for widening the mono track. I doubt that it retains full mono compatibility with all settings. You can't just haphazardly turn knobs and expect it to retain full mono compatibility. Nonetheless, with careful use and mono checking I think it could create a wide, "compromise" mono-compatible effect. I like it. It is on my "buy" list but I'll wait for a promotional sale. :-)

There's nothing really here that I can't presently do with a variety of plugins....detuning, delay, bass centering etc, stereo positioning etc....but I have to admit I'm tempted by the idea of having it all in one convenient plugin.
However I can't help thinking that this is the type of thing that Cakewalk should be baking into Sonar. Stereo manipulation is such an important part of modern production and Channel Tools is both limited and long in the tooth.

Absolutely True. I have my various favorite ways of stereo widening using discrete plug-ins. This is why it is not on my high priority "buy" list. Agree that it is convenient to have it all in one plug-in. It would be easy to try all the different widening methods to see which one fits the song best. sharke

I'm pretty sure the Width control is a Mid/Side balance.
You're right in thinking you can already do everything this plugin does with your existing tools. Channel Tools covers much of the needed functionality. The exception is the L/R detuning feature, which isn't convenient without a dedicated processor. However, even though I have other plugins that can do this trick, it's not a feature I actually use very often. Still, Meldaproduction's new MUnison is tempting @ $44 introductory price.
 All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff
