Voxengo updates Soniformer spectral mastering processor plug-in to v3.7

Voxengo has updated Soniformer to version 3.7 update. Soniformer is a spectral mastering dynamics processor plug-in designed for professional music production applications. The new version adds Pro Tools AAX-64 plugin format support.
Every parameter in Soniformer is defined by means of a graphic envelope which is freely-modifiable and may contain unlimited number of control points. Beside usual threshold, attack, release and compression/expander ratio parameters Soniformer offers the user control over "stereo width" and "panning" parameters making Soniformer an effective tool for stereo field adjustments.

    isnt' this one notoriously cpu hungry?

    Not particularly. It's intended to be a mastering effect anyway.
     
    My experience with Soniformer has been that it takes a fair bit of fiddling to get the results you're after, but once dialed in it's a multi-band compressor on Red Bull + steroids. A very good plugin - IMO - that can do things that more conventional multi-bands cannot.
     
    OTOH, I don't actually use it myself anymore. Those kinds of spectral smoothing duties are now performed with less fuss by MSpectralDynamics.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
