Vox volume way low on playback

When recording vocals my levels look fine when recording, but on playback the levels are really low, can barely make a blip on the meter. I'm guessing it's a setting or bus issue.  Any ideas ?

Is this in any new project with a blank audio track? Which level meter are you looking at during recording that says the level is good?

Thanks for the reply.  I actually figured it out finally... I was listening to playback with record armed on the vocal track, once I disarmed the record the levels came up to normal.  Not exactly sure why that happens, maybe a sound loop or the way it's routed, but problem solved.

If the track was armed it was showing the level of the audio coming in over the microphone - so most probably, the playback in the room was being picked up by the mic and displayed on the meter.
