I've always loved the word "grenadiers." It's about time someone FINALLY wrote a piece for it. Very martial, very old-school and somehow, very European. Really nice melody, I like this piece quite a bit, though it would have been cool to hear that minor bit at the beginning show itself later on somehow. The mix sounds pretty good but there's quite a lot of sound at the low/mid low frequencies and I think some are kind of stepping on each other, muddying things up a bit. That coupled with the pretty subdued highs above maybe 5 or 6k makes for a kind of older, darker sound. But get a second opinion, my ears are shot.

    Pretty good for a practice!

The mix is very close to the mark, I think Kevin indicated there is a little muddiness in the lower ends, which I am hearing too.  Perhaps some surgical EQ to create some space around those instruments would help.
