"Too tired blues"
Hi All, woke up this morning..etc,etc ; ) I found this backingtrack on a backup disc, don't know where it's from. Deciced to noodle a bit over the top, got too tired after 3 minutes. Anyway just a one take bit of fun, don't have an electric guitar so it's my ovation pretending to be one ; ) Thanks for listening ; ) Rik

Hi Rik , Your guitar playing sounds very nice on this No wonder your feeling tired . You bent just about every other note on your guitars neck for most of the song . I do know the backing track , and it is certainly a nice track to play over . Pete Anderson came up with this track for Guitar Center . This track was one the contestants could play over for the King Of the Blues Guitar Center contest they were running back then .(2011) The backing track name is Big Band Blues … If you want to hear what I've done with this track , I have it up over at my soundclik page listed as G.C.Big Band Blues w Telecaster … Hey Bro keep on playing no matter what . have a good one , Kenny

Hi Kenny, love your take on this. I remember you taking part in a contest, was that this one ? I was literally too tired to play the entire track but it was fun to do : ) Rik

Hi Kenny, at least you've got a great story to tell, maybe write a blues song about it ; ) Wished I had friends like yours, wished I had a Les Paul. I played a Gibson SG in the late seventies, Les pauls were more than double the price in Holland at that time. Roy Buchanan eh? That's way to much honour. I'd love to here you play "The messiah will come again". Rik

Great sound out of that ovation, sounds a bit like a tele to me too. I love your playing, it's very comfortable, very authoritative and honest here. Love me some blues.

Rik, Great playing, really like it and I am not a big fan of the blues in general. You make really good playing choices that keeps it all very interesting. Never would have guessed you were playing an Ovation. Regards

I didn't read other comments... Some very nice playing and the backing tracks are great -- a toe tapping groove and the whole piece has a great feel that draws you in. I enjoyed this. !! Allan ===

I wouldn't have known this was an acoustic if you hadn't said so - it just sounds like an electric with nice resonance! But I think a big part of that is your playing sounds like it was done on an electric. Nice!
