I like the new synth in the early release!

This is the first release that actually opens faster than previous versions.  I also like the Ultra Analog Session 2 synth that was included in this version.  Although, in many ways it's Z3ta lite, it opens fast and sounds very funky.  The new help module really doesn't add much for me, though I imagine that it might be helpful for new users.  Good job, Cake!  I'm looking forward to the official release.

All the best,
Lynn

Ultra Analog is an awesome sounding synth. You have to dig a little more to tweak in version 2 so I still use version 1 a lot, but the sound is really phat!

I'd keep it open. I have already found a couple of new things I didn't know about. Been using Sonar since the Home Studio days!

OK i just read about the Early Access Program.

For me, I'd rather know I am installing stable software.  I can wait another 20 days or so :)

I bought Ultra Analog Session around Christmas for $25.00, I believe. I upgraded to full version about 5 mins after trying it out. The named banks in Session are not in full. I use Session about as much as the full. It is not a real thin version. Plenty of tweaking to keep you busy.

    It's Bass, not Bass.

I've really loved AAS' analog sounds since Tassman1 (Yikes!),  to my ear it's just sounds so different, which is a good thing.

With all these great synths now in the $199 range I'd never have looked at this, but I'm very glad I installed it.

We will be running a special on the full version this week as part of the release for those that don't have it yet. The reviews at the office have been good for Ultra Analog Session too.

Will it be possible to get just the patches from Ultra Analog Session that aren't already shipped with the full version?  I don't see much sense in loading the "lite" version if I already have the full version.

I believe everything in the lite version is included in the full version. Is there some reason you don't think that's the case?

For some reason the Ultra Analog synth is not showing up in mine. I have rescanned my plugins, any idea?
    Thanks

I believe you have to do a rollback in the CCC for the Platinum Instrument Collection to version 1.0.0.15. The new synth is in that collection. Took me a little bit to figure that one out. This is in addition to downloading the Early Release Version of Sonar.

It's not listed individually in the CCC. It's just part of the Platinum Instrument Collection. After installing that, if I browse the vst2 synth list in the synth browser I see it listed as "Ultra Analog Session 2"

I just thought there was a possibility that there were new patches included in the Session version.  If there aren't any...then I don't need to pull it in.

I believe I read on KVR that some of the patches are unique to the Session version.

    Tangled roots perplex her ways.
