The Interlude (using Bravo, Damage and NI String Ensemble)
Hey peeps, I have wanted to do some cinematic music forever and got the opportunity with the band Witherer. They wanted me to do a little interlude between 2 songs so here you go. Enjoy and let me know what you think. https://soundcloud.com/musicman61554/the-interlude

oh great - I missed this when I went to the bathroom! :) Mix wise, it seemed like it could have a little more deeper, heavier drums . . . don't know if you were avoiding anything thunderous in your interlude. Quite nice as is. cheers, -Tom

Yea I didnt want it to be too heavy drum wise. Those Damage drums sound amazing. Wouldn't be out of place in Wes Craven horror movie with that repeating riff with the discord note at the end of each phrase. Well conceived idea and nice clear mix.

If you post 'em, we'll listen. Yeah, that was eerily cool. Pleasant tones combined with that out-of-scale note makes it nicely unique!

I thought the percussion didn't gel well with the rest of the track. Those Damage loops really fill out the spectrum, and I feel you need to carve some space out for your other sounds, the percussion drowned it out in places, and didn't really "sit" well for me. It also ended abruptly (the Damage). Maybe a subtler loop, lower in the mix, would work better. What were the sounds from Bravo (I've been looking at getting that for a while)?

Thank you for the comment, the sound from the Bravo library was called Sad Piano. I actually intended the Damage Loop to gradually get louder throughout the piece. The musicians I wrote this for asked for that. Thanks again Ultra.
