Question regarding new tempo mapping feature

With the release of the newly integrated Melodyne Tempo Detector, will we be able to use this to stretch audio to a specific, constant tempo. I followed the steps in the E-zine, to have the clip follow a constant clip tempo, after having processed the tempo map. The project then followed the constant tempo that I picked, but it didn't seem to do anything to the audio. I currently have Melodyne Assistant. Would I need to upgrade in order to be able to stretch the audio to a specific tempo?

I have not yet looked at the E-zine, but the standard way to change a variable tempo to a fixed on after mapping the timeline would be to enable Audiosnap 'Follow Project' in Autostretch mode on all clips, and then delete all but the initial tempo. If audio did not follow the tempo change due to removing tempo map entries, then Autostretch was not properly enabled. You can do this ether using the Audiosnap palette or the Audiosnap options section of the Clip tab in the Inspector before changing/deleting any tempos.
