What I find strange is that I cannot tell if I am actually running in demo mode. When I click on “About Sonar” under the help menu, it says I am running a legal copy with my membership showing valid through 2/5/2017 – Status: owned.

Mine says I'm running in demo mode. And now the new project that I'm working on cannot be saved. This is really irritating!

Did you participate in the EAP program? By the way, I am able to save my program so I hope my issue solved itself. Try launching the program using the "Run As Administrator", it seem to work for me.

Not sure what the EAP program is? I did take a chance and get out of the Sonar session and it told me it would not save my work on the new project. However, the good news is when I reopened Sonar. my new project was there and in "about Sonar" it now says I have a licensed version. It really stinks that support is only open from 1-6 in the afternoon. Does Cakewalk think that all it's users are slackers that don't get up in the morning?

Currently they block out some time for email support and other issues. There is a new phone support policy coming.

It's great to hear that you did not loose your work. This sounds like some kind of glitch that seems to work itself out.

    Yeah...

A number of us have run into this ways and fixed it in different ways...

For me and an offline (mostly) machine, I needed to do an offline activation to clear it up.

Some people found fixed after a number of re-starts or re-boots...

There are some suggestions in the thread
