Sadly, Merle has left the building.
I think around 1986 here in Vancouver, USA, he was to play the Fair, and he apparently had his bus stop, picked a girl or two, and left. Never played. Never found out if that was a joke or not, but it doesn't sound like one. Gotta love rumors, when one hears them. One of my employees was really disappointed as she had tickets and really wanted to see him.

No worries there ... she had her date with a Trailblazer or two later. That was more exciting to her and she smiled for weeks on that one.

I went out with a very nice girl who had just moved to the West Hollywood area of California from Colorado. She was waitressing when I met her - the typical job for aspiring actresses (at the same well-known club where I hung out with Eddie VanHalen a few times actually). I found out years later that she did indeed make it into films becoming a very well known actress. Only it was in adult films!
Oh well...

I've tried it ... bleach does not get rid of any fat! And it tastes awful! (... sidenote: we used to have a barrel full of water, take about half a gallon of bleach, and then throw it in there, and mix good ... there's your drinking water in those days, in the jungle. The bleach kills the germs, etc, etc ... !)
