using Melodyne Studio with reference tracks?

I'm at the point where I want to try out MS4 as an alternative to AudioSnap for quantizing one track to another.

ARA with MS4 is very cool for working on a clip.  But I think it creates an instance of MS4 for each clip.  I need one instance of MS4 that I can import, transfer, drag and drop, etc. multiple tracks/clips into so I can reference some of the audio while quantizing other audio.

So I looked at the audio folder, thinking I could drag files from there into a standalone MS4 instance.  (Cause ASIO won't allow me to run Sonar X3 and MS4 at the same time...)  But I don't see an obvious mapping of .wav files to my audio tracks.  (kinda makes sense)  So I would probably need to export tracks from Sonar first, then launch MS4 and import the audio tracks, then party on the audio, then save the tracks, then import back into Sonar (which would screw up fact I have lots of clips in each track, not one big wav file).  This sounds like a lot of work and would be totally not integrated.

I can load up MS4 as an audio effect at the track level (not using ARA) but I don't see how that helps me get audio from other tracks to use as reference material for MS4 to quantize against.

All the tutorials I've found deal with using Melodyne Essentials to edit a clip without regard to the rest of the project.  Or they deal with using MS4 in standalone mode, using reference tracks that have been imported into MS4.

I hope there's an easier way.  Expert advice appreciated!

Thanks!
