Improvised song no click: April Dare

Here's a song I improvised yesterday. No click track. One take on each instrument. I wanted to see how it sounded just making something up on the spot. Started with rhythm guitar. Basically a three-chord progression. Then I added drums, then bass, then lead guitar. No EQing. No mastering. It was very therapeutic. I compared to a metronome afterwards, and I stayed pretty consistent for the most part. Something wouldn't have been able to do back in the day when I first started playing. I attribute it to practicing with a click and playing along with and listening to a lot of music.

Great groove with nice rhythm playing, and some pretty speed runs in there!

Thanks very much! Yes I played everything. This was an excercise in letting go and not overthinking. Kind of a Jackson Polluck approach.

Nice jam. Your guitar playing and tone is real nice. Some beat and key change ups would have been nice but is listenable as it is.

For a single take, improvised, no-click, non-mixed piece... it sounds pretty freakin' good!

I'd be curious to hear this again after giving it some "formal" production.
