Generic MIDI Controller Surface

Hey guys.  I am trying to run 2 identical devices through the generic controller.  At one point,  the phone support had convinced me that I was having trouble separating them because the MIDI drivers for the USB/MIDI devices was only reading that there was one device.  I since have replaced all those connections with 4 different ones.  Each is a different manufacturer.  I, though by doing this, thought I would be able to have 2 generic surfaces each with their own MIDI port.  I was wrong.  It still sends data out of both the MIDI output ports as if there is only one.  Can these be split into 2 separate outputs/inputs and allow me to use bother my controllers independently?

In case you see these 2 controllers as 2 separate MIDI devices that should work.

You can test either your hardware/drivers work that way by a test project with 2 MIDI tracks, each track input is set to one of these devices. If you can record these 2 tracks in parallel correctly, that part of the setup is ok.

This is not the case.  I was using 2 of the same MIDI devices in which we thought that the driver was being confused.  But now I have 4 different devices (USB'MIDI) drivers running and I get the same result.  I think the MIDI surface will only read in Omni and can not be established for each port.
