Karhide Decoy

Just released a couple of tracks on bandcamp and never remember to post here :)

https://karhide.bandcamp.com/album/decoy

Let me know what you think. It's a little different to the other releases on bandcamp. This is just guitar and drums created with ezdrummer.

Hey, I like this, the drums sound great and the guitar kicks! I liked Bulkhead too.

Thanks I was trying something a little different from what I've been writing for the last few years :)

Like this one but the mix sounded sort of muddy in my ears .

Well, my head started bobbing from the start -- guitars sound great -- just the right amount of compression and such.  Hope you slap a heavy metal from hell vocal on top of this -- I'd like to hear it !!

I think I lost my dentures in the mosh pit.

No, I don't really have dentures.

Pretty cool guitar work, but also your drum programming is pretty convincing. I liked the second half better 'cause it was tighter, maybe? Rhythmically.

I assume the slight de-tuning on the doubled guitars is intentional, or is it a happy accident? It gave it a creepy feel. Or am I at sea here?

    cheers,
    -Tom

The guitars were a mistake when I was writing but I liked the way it sounded

I got the same feeling from listening to this that I get from King Crimson.  That sense of urgency.  This is a terrific recording that might sound interesting if everything was panned a little wider, so as to give things in the center a bit more room to work with.  Otherwise, this sounds good to go.

    All the best,

Did you find those dentures ! LOL
Just kidding , for a heavy metal song it really has your heart pounding and he'll that's what I need more beats per minute . Your music sounded cool , not sure about the mix but that could be trying to listen to it on my iPhone 6 Apple phone but anyway yea you should add in some lyrics and vocals .
Go to your nearest hospital and play it , it could save lives with someone having a heart attack ! LOL

    Cheers good one ! James

While I it needs something running over top, like vocals, what you have sounds good to me!   It's a great foundation...  loved the L/R guitar parts together, as mentioned above the almost/sorta out of tune but not quite thing - it works great, accident or intentional.     It's a keeper.

I don't think I could listen to a entire album of that - but that was pretty cool. You're definitely one talented guy. Well done - keep them coming.

    Thanks for all the comments

Just wanted to get a feeling for what people thought of these tracks because they are very different to the last bunch of songs I worked on:
