That's just the way it is. SONAR has to flush some stuff and load some stuff, which takes a few seconds.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

I guess you are talking about changing between screensets ...

If you don't need the browser in all of these screensets, you might want to close it (i.e. undock and close with "x" - not just minimize it). the browser looks for your directory structure on the harddrive, which may slow the entire screenset down. so for example I deliberately exclude the browser from any project that goes into a live playlist as the project opens much faster without the browser (even on a fast SSD system)

I always save projects for live performance with the browser closed for speed of loading as well. Now I know why! Thanks Rob:)
