VRM box

So, I got a VRM box super cheap on ebay.  It works great EXCEPT SPLAT will only let me use EITHER the VRM OR my Tascam.  How do I set it up so i don't have to keep switching back and forth?  Sharke said in another thread that one can just make sonar ignore the VRM.  Is that what I should do?

Directly connecting the VRM to the DAW using ASIO driver mode is the issue. It is not SONAR but the ASIO specification itself which limits hosts to one I/O driver at a time. The solution is to connect the VRM to the audio interface via S/PDIF, assuming your interface has the appropriate connection.
