2 recurring Beeps and No Power SOLVED for now
My PC wouldn't come out of sleep mode so I rebooted. Instead of rebooting I heard 2 beeps repeatedly. I unhooked the power for about 30 sec. and rebooted. It came on but after about 10 min I got the blue screen of death with this; C:\Users\bayoubill\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-41777-0.sysdata.xml C:\Windows\Minidump\042116-29172-01.dmp Additional information about the problem: BCCode: d1 BCP1: 0000000000000000 BCP2: 0000000000000002 BCP3: 0000000000000000 BCP4: FFFFF8800169456B OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1 I unplugged and rebooted again but got nothing. I waited for about 30 min then it started and here I am. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Try to remove and re-insert your ram chips. That's all I've got.

Thanks John! I ran 2 diagnostics and both showed nothing. I did find out that double beeps mean a RAM problem so I will remove and re-insert your ram chips as you suggested. I think I'm going to take it in to a PC shop in the morning. I also had the blue screen of death again

I reset all my RAM, checked connections, then cleaned the PC. All seems fine. I will wait and watch but if it happens again I'm going with a new PC

Try 1 ram strip at a time and see if it boots that way. You can also go on another computer to memtest.org and download memtest, then burn it to a disc (it is an iso file), and try booting up the computer off that CD/DVD, and it will automatically put you into its memory testing software. Bob Bone

2 beeps is a BIOS code for a hardware problem. Look up the codes.

I have a Dell beep error code chart. The two beeps is "no memory detected" and could either be RAM or a motherboard slot problem. Reseating the memory modules is the usual first step. 4 beeps is also listed as memory problems. "Memory read/write error".

+1 to the beeps. I also had a DELL that a RAM module went nutty in, and in addition to the "beep code" there was also a "light pulse" from the power on light (IIRC was 5 blinks, but been several years). I am not sure if this is applicable in your case, but there are BIOS codes for "number of blinks" as well.
