Silent Hardware Channel

Hi;

I use Sonar X3 and I recently switched from a Pod Studio UX2 interface to a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6.  I started a project remixing all audio tracks and saved it.  When I returned to it a message came up in Sonar upon selecting that project saying that the track called Piano will be opened in a Silent Audio Output and will be silent until it is re assigned. The output it is in is MASTER as it was when I saved it.  The weird thing is, the piano track plays back OK but the bass track next to it is partially muted (not silent but the volume was cut back substantially).  Could somebody please tell me what's going on?  This never happened with the UX2 interface.

Thanks
John B.

    You may need to reassign what your buses output to. You have a hardware change that may not have the same ins and outs.

    Thanks, but I think it's a plug in conflict.  I'm about 60% sure I solved it,  It may have something to do with the Red Compressor plugin I got with the Focusrite.  When I re created the offending channel and replaced that plugin with Boost 11 it stopped happening.

    Yeah.  Just got done playing around with it for another few hours and the problem hasn't repeated yet, but I hold my breath every time I launch the project.  It's weird like that when you're dealing with computers how a conflict with software brings you error messages that have nothing at all to do with the real cause of the problem (ie plugin conflict but the report says OUTPUT problem).
    I've seen a lot of that in the 21 years I've been diddling around with PCs.  One of these days I'm going to try a Mac.
