[Solved] Installing the new mastering FX?
I've installed the new early release of Sonar Platinum as well as the new release for the Engineering FX, and the two new mastering FX still bring up the old ones. I'm not sure if this is a problem or something I'm doing wrong.

Look under VST3. Under dynamics you should see LP MB, and under eq you should see LP EQ, as opposed to the older LP-64 MB and LP-64 MB.

The new plugins are not showing up under the VST3 folder on my system. I have tried performing a manual install of the engineering suite I downloaded from my products and I still cannot seem to get them to work.

Have you done a reset/rescan of your VST folders? That's what I had to do in order to get them to show up.

I have tried several times but it seems this release is having a problem with my waves plugins. Once it reaches any of them the scan process hangs and never goes any further. I have to cancel the scan. All of my waves plugins still work but they will not scan.

Contact Waves support. They're fast and good. My Waves plugs scan with the latest version, so it's likely some installation issue. It may relate to VST3/VST2.

Thanks, I will contact them, it's time I finally use the WUP. However, I still cannot seem to solve the issue wit the new mastering plugins. After temporarily removing the waves folder, the scan was able to complete. The mastering plugins are still no where to be found.

Neither are mine. I've tried several things but they don't show up, at least on my laptop system. Going to try on one of my desktops later and report back.

I'm not seeing the new plugins anywhere. Why is this labeled as solved?

Hey Tim, Have you installed the latest release of the Engineering FX Suite? They are located within that installer and not in the Core installer of SONAR. Previously we installed the LP-64 EQ & LP-64 Multiband from the Engineering FX Suite so the updated versions are also within that installer.

Thanks Lance, I logged into my account and went to my products. I downloaded and installed the Engineering FX Suite located under Sonar Platinum. I even installed the Boutique FX Suite when the Engineering Suite did not work just in case I misunderstood. None of these option seem to work.

I just notice the release date on the Engineering Suite has been updated to 4/26/2016. I will download the latest version to see if this resolves the issue.

It would help to know exactly which version of the installers were run, that a VST scan happened after installation and the default plug-in layout is used when search for the new plug-ins in the VST3 area.

I am currently installing the latest version of the suit. Lance said the old version of the plugins were used in the build.
