Synth Rack

Can the synth rack automated number 1, 2, 3, for synths be turned off.... 
 
I want to rename the  synth instance  placing preset names and midi channels   ... and then cakewalk always adds its own number!
 
NOt a biggie.. but if it can be turned off = great.
