(SOLVED) Demo Mode???
I have an updated membership for SONAR Platinum yest when I disconnect from the internet I get a warning that I'm running in Demo Mode and can't save my work. SERIOUSLY??? Since when do I have to be online to save a project in a software package that I've paid for????

I just spent a day updating Windows so that SPlat would install. It did this install and it is now running in Demo Mode. I read another thread that recommended Restarting and Launching SPlat from within Cakewalk Command Center. When SPlat launched that way I got a message saying it was now authorized and no longer in Demo Mode. I closed SPlat and CCC and launched SPlat from the Start/Programs menu as I normally do and it worked also.

I must admit, my patience with Cakewalk has grown very very thin. All of these releases and updates seems to be make this program more and more unstable with things that worked before now appearing to be broken.

G'Day, I recently had a sysytem melt down and now after reinstalling my SONAR Professional version 2015, I'm Desperate! I have sent emails to support,( no reply after 3 weeks!) and searched the forums and Internet, but cannot find how to get Sonar out of DEMO mode. This happenned last year too, but I lost the instructiions in the melt down. I do not plan to Upgrade to 2016version, because I cannot afford it after paying the Upgrade fee ( usually $99 ) for the last 19 years. ( I make $000 from music!) Support Page says support is only available for upgraded versions. Anyone been thru this problem ? Thanks, Mel

Occasionaly After a system bootup - the first time I open splat it opens in demo mode with an warning upon opening. A red banner to the bottom right. Does yours do this? Ill close the program and reopen it and it works as normal. I do not know why.. but a simple close and re open seems to resolve it. It only happens when I first boot up and log in. I totally understand your frustration.... for real.

It seems to happen every time I update SONAR with the latest release. I think it's been fixed though as Noel stated about but I haven't had a chance to reboot and start SONAR to check and see. I'll keep you posted.

Yeah occasionally I get the demo mode warning when I start Sonar. I just quit and reopen it and everything works fine. Annoying but not a huge deal.

UPDATE: This issue appears to have been resolved. Haven't had this pop up again since the last update. Love the new look BTW. I can see which plug-ins are enabled and which ones are not a lot easier!!!!

Not solved for me - Running 22.5.0.45, purchased 11/26/15. Sonar started in Demo mode this morning. I had to do an Offline activation and it's back up and running.

After the last Win 10 update I also was informed that I was in demo mode. I ran the CCC and after it found all on my HD everything was fine. I did not have to DL anything, it just said this is activated. Now all is well, I hope.
The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.
