Something a little different...

Hi everyone,
I’ve been busy on my third solo album for about three years in total and I can finally say that the album is finished.

It’s being printed/replicated  at the moment.

Last week I had the opportunity to be interviewed on radio about the album so I decided to film the interview. It came out very well and so I decided to edit it and add lots of “in studio” footage of the recording process as well.

I have put up the odd song from the album on the forum over the past year or so and some of the forum members were kind enough to buy my previous albums on the strength of hearing these tracks.

It’s very rare to find a radio station in this day and age that would even be remotely interested in this kind of album (Instrumental Rock), so I can really count myself lucky that we have such a station here in South Africa.

I’d like to share it with the forum if anyone is interested. The entire album was done in SONAR (X1, X2, X3 and now Platinum)

Hope you enjoy…

Cheers,
Peter.

Good stuff...    The interview, the songs, the video recording/editing itself.  What a nice thing to have!

The guitar tones on all of the songs sound great. I especially enjoyed those spanking clean Strat tones with reverb and delay.    Oh, and no shortage of SONAR shots, huh.

Thanks so much Steve, Darryl and Rocky.
Really glad that you enjoyed it (even though it was a bit long) but I didn't want to cut it any shorter. I know that there are lots of studio geeks (like myself) who enjoy watching behind the scenes stuff like this.

I can't wait for the printing and replication to be done now.
    Cheers
    Peter.

Video is very well done.   Interesting background with the studio shots integrated with the radio interview.

    Hi, Peter,

That was absolutely fantastic!  Great job doing the interview and video, and the album previews sounded spectacular.

I've always loved your playing and guitar tones on the stuff that you've posted here on the forum, and it was really great to see the in-studio clips during the interview and the different guitars that you used.  Dynamite guitar tones throughout!

Excellent work on the music and the video, and sincere best wishes for your upcoming album release!

    Have a good one!
    Bob

I'm really glad that you enjoyed it SJ.
I've had a lot of feedback regarding the video and most viewers seem to have a similar reaction. I was initially worried that it might be a bit too long but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Thanks for watching and for your kind comments.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
