Cheers, Larry. One thing is certainly new, you can now add an extra mic position to your Gold orchestra libs in ComposerCloud. Wish this would also be optional for purchased libraries.

EastWest can seriously get bent. "ComposerCloud X is a big incentive for EastWest users to make the switch to the subscription model as the additional mic position is not for sale individually"

Ya well, you probably all know my opinion on them by now. Just more reasons if you need it to not buy their stuff.

If you're careful, they offer amazing value for little money.

I see the X instruments with the new mic positions in the new CC Installation manager. I think I have to pay a one off $10 fee to activate them and commit to 12 more months on CC but I am still not certain what I need to do.

Quite true. Sometimes they are not advertised. I've become more of a fan of VSL. It's not about how they sound but their software is on a totally different level along with excellent support.

The new EastWest Play engine is stable and I love their Installation Center. They've come a long way.

Shame their customer service still sucks. I heard they fired the only person who gave a crap about providing customer service to people. That made me laugh a bit.

Different experience here. Joey and Lorenz are great guys, very helpful.

Just thought I'd post this since there isn't nothing on Google. Play 4.3.5 breaks the MENS WB VOTA SC.ewi patch in the Symphonic Choirs VOTA Extension. When you try to load it you get the error: Play could not find a valid sample folder for the instrument "BASS Util Vota P2" After reinstalling everything (from 7 DVDs!) it didn't fix it. So I contacted EastWest's support and this morning they sent this: Unfortunately, this is a bug that we are currently aware of with the recent releases of PLAY! All other patches in Symphonic Choirs should work properly, so if you need to stay on this version of PLAY for other instruments you're using, please try another patch!
If you're able to downgrade to a version of PLAY that is 4.3.2 or earlier, please do so! If you are going to tell someone your several week old software release breaks a product that costs hundreds of dollars you'd think they would at least say something about how they are working on fixing it or a statement that they will fix it, but no -- all you get is they are aware.

I wish I had read this before I went through all of the trouble. Thanks for posting because I wasn't done trying stuff.
