Magix Independence Pro

I am curious what Magix's full version of the sampler/library is like. I have the free version, and it has a couple of useful items in it -- nothing groundbreaking, but some usable sounds and toys. Does anyone have the full deal? I seem to recall there being some grumbling about authorization headaches, and the like, but I was curious if the sounds are any good...

I use it quite a bit for straight up acoustic Rompler type of playback plus synth work. I like the sounds generally. It's a decent sound set in that it has some very nice detailed instrument sets with Saxes, bass, and percussion. It has a decent piano and Fm type of Rhodes. The synthesizer end has a lot of building blocks. One very cool aspect is that it will host mono and stereo VST's resident inside as a host - great for synth stacks along side it's internal synths and acoustic samples. I regularly use NI's old electrik piano and FM-7, plus some older oddball VST synths nested inside. Comprehensive effects and controls. Nice drums as well. Basic horns and strings and some nice guitars - especially the classical guit.  I wish the GUI could be sized larger. The registration seemed much simpler through Magix than the headaches with Yellow Tools. Overall it's pretty comprehensive.

You would waste your money if you bought it outright. It's also packaged in their Samplitude. That would be the only way I would acquire it.

You can listen to these demos, which are essentially excerpts of the full Independence Pro
