Default notes in Sonar (Platinum) Step Sequencer

I trying to do something really simple - can someone please tell me how I change all notes say from A3-G3 to say A5-G5 - the only way I seem to be able to do it is choose add and go all the way through to what I want or change one row to the note I want then choose +

Is there a way to select all notes and move up or down an octave.

Just go to piano roll view right click and lasso what you want and drag them where you want

After these zillion years, and I STILL do not use Piano Roll View on any kind of regular basis, or meaningful way.

For ME, I usually start with Step Sequencer by deleting all the rows but 1, and then change that note number to the lowest note of the desired note range, and then hit the '+' repeatedly to add in notes above to finish out the desired range.

MOST of the time, I am only using Step Sequencer to enter in drum parts, so I don't need a huge range of notes to meet my needs.

I would actually like to see some way to accomplish this, like you, in one shot - even though with a little practice, you can get pretty quick at doing what I do above to get the target note rows into Step Sequencer.

I would ALSO like to see them add in support to Step Sequencer to allow for an 8th note as the meter base, rather than always having to use a quarter note.  It makes it a GIANT pain to deal with odd meters in a song, PARTICULARLY when the song switches in and out of 4/4 and other meters, such as 7/8, 9/8, 11/8, or even for one song 19/16.  (I'd settle for allowing an 8th-note, since the 19/16 was only in one song I have ever dealt with).

Currently, if I want to insert a short section of some number of 9/8 into a song - I have to actually do it by:

1) insert a tempo change to DOUBLE the tempo
2) insert a meter change at the desired point in the project, to change from 4/4 to 9/4 (FOUR)
3) enter in all the events
4) insert another tempo change at the end of that section, to return the tempo to half the speed
5) insert another meter change to change back to 4/4

It takes doubling the tempo to get it to play the 9/4 at the tempo it WOULD have played it at 9/8.  On TOP of that, it makes printed scores from the above look rather silly and amateurish.

Sorry for adding in the additional request - I'm just reaching for the stars there. :)

I DO hope they come up with some more efficient way for us to get the target note range in Step Sequencer, regardless of whether or not they also were to add in the 8th-note meter base support. :)

A guy can dream in these crazy times, can't I? :)

Load a drum map.  It's been buggy since AD2 but it might help.

Drag in the PRV keyboard to select the note numbers, then Type +24 in the pitch field of the Event Inspector, or use Process > Transpose.

Oops; forgot you're talking about Step Sequencer. Normal MIDI editing operations go out the window then. The drum map option is one workaround. Another would be to bounce to normal MIDI clip, transpose, and then convert back to Step Sequencer (if necessary).
