We Need God

This is my latest song / video.  It's using about 10 instances of Komplete, one instance of AD2, and a couple of Raptures.  Maybe something else...I forget.  https://www.youtube.com/w...yN5wHjQsn79Wr7Z987Z8VR

You have a nice voice Gregg.

Not so sure about the bass levels on this song. The kick is particularly over powering to my ears and on my system. Perhaps someone with more experience could chip in on this?

    cheers

Sounds pretty good here!  I think you did well with all of the performances and the arrangement.  Mix-wise the kick was a bit heavy.. but then again I like a beefy kick.

The video was also well done.   I don't know if you included the actual recorded performances themselves, but if not you obviously know the parts well!

Nice song/performance Gregg and good choice of instrumentation.....particularly, you did well with the guitar tones/BGV's.
The bass & kick did come across (on headphones) a bit too much where it seem to cover up some of the other instruments.
Not sure if it's the drums being used or something else, but it did sound heavily compressed and possibly could use a little more 'sizzle' to make it brighter.

Well I'll still stick with DOG. Or dogs actually...ol Bus and Pip give me all the unconditional love I can handle.

But speaking of love, it does sound like an awful lot went into the making of this track. Hope you had mucho fun recording it, ol pal.

Very pro arrangement Midiboy. I personally think that showing the way it all went together might be a detraction. Not that it isn't cool to see, but seeing the guitar played on keys kind of took it away for me. I could see this done with snippets of the production but then showing why you think we need God or something like that. Am I making sense here?

For me the vocal gets a little lost and is possibly overly wet, as noted above I also found the kick too prominent.  Looks like you worked hard, though I did not watch the video to the end.  Overall quite an accomplished production that a few tweaks will sort out.
