Master Fader Set to Unity, but Level is Lower Than Track(s) Feeding It

Hey y'all. I'm working on Sonar X3 Producer Edition and I'm running into some problems with the master level of my project. No matter how loud I make the audio tracks of my project, the master level remains pitifully low. I even tried clipping my audio tracks and the master level was still very low. As a test, I soloed an audio track containing a piano piece. Both the piano track fader and the master fader were set to 0.0 dB. When I let them play, the piano track meter would peak at about -4.7 dBFS, while the master meter would peak at -17. Is there a dimming option or something I unknowingly activated? I've never run into this problem before. Thanks in advance.

PS: The faders monitoring the level sent to my soundcard are linked and also at 0.0

That worked! I'm unsure what effect I had accidentally applied that did this, as none are visible in the master bus and all sounds normal once the effects are manually unbypassed. Thank you!
