sonarplt / cpu -task manager stays high when i am not playback ???

Hi Everyone,
 
in need of help , i have just done a complete fresh install of win 10 , due to lots of weird things going on anyways , i have just loade3d all of my cakewalk products and decided to open a existing project to document memory and cpu without installing my 3rd party plugins ,and i noticed the cpu is showing sonarplt between 30-40% constant without hitting play , when i hit play it stays around the same 30-40% .
 
my question is and from my own experience i am positive that when sonar is not doing anything the sonarplt/ cpu should drop drastically ? is there a setting in sonar or windows that fixes this ???????

    Is it normal for task manager >sonarplt>cpu 60% constant
     
    as soon as i  disable the audio engine button button (next to the reset audio button ) in platinum ,the sonarplt process in task manager >cpu drops to 1%
     
    WHY IS MY CPU STAYING SO HIGH WITHOUT ANYTHING HAPPENING ???

    as soon as i click preferences and the window opens the cpu drops to 1 %
     
    what is going on ???
     
    it should drop normally unless i hit play , is there a bios setting for this or platinum preference ??ANYONE PLEASE

    I believe this is normal. My CPU usage on a typical project is around 50% idle and increases a bit when I hit play.

    If the porject has vsti's and plugins loaded they will use processor continuously. If you bypass all fx and disconnect synths, the processor usage will drop.
     
    Create an empty project. If your processor still reads high there is some other issue.

    Thanks , though i have monitored task manager for a while and when i am doing nothing to platinum normally it drops to 1-5% , so i have switched something off or on in services or bios that has now made the cpu idle around the same percent as it does during playback , i will find it i hope !

    Opening preferences mutes the Audio engine.
