Cthulhu updated to v1.15
Cthulhu was updated to v1.15 on April 29. On May 16, v1.15e for OSX was posted (to fix a 64-bit AAX validation error in ProTools). Download from your account. Version 1.15 changes:fix: alt-drag on note-number boxes of current selected chord (to transpose all notes in chord) was not working.added: Menu->Transform->”Fill all Chord slots with current chord”. Uses the lowest note of chord as ‘root’ location and copies the chord to all chord slots (transposed). And if you're way behind in updates: 1.14 changes: fix: if using Note Latch switch + toggling on/off/on using the Arp could trigger “previous” notes fix: for having host cycle enabled but playing a song position outside of the cycle, could cause dense (repeating) MIDI output streams. added: can now batch import MIDI files via drag and drop to Piano keys. If a single MIDI file is dragged, it functions the same as the menu import. If multiple type 0 MIDI files are dragged, then it acts like a ‘batch import’ - each file becomes its own chord preset, saved adjacent to the MIDI file (same name, but .fxp extension). added: checkmarks now display in main menu to display subfolder with current item (note, checkmarks don’t persist on re-opening a song/project because the preset is now stored in the song, not from the menu) added: alt-click on disk icons to quick-resave (overwrite) a preset (no dialog windows / warning). Whats new in v1.1:
• Redesigned graphics by Lance Thackeray. • 200% high-resolution zoom option for the entire UI. • Option to run the Arp clock free (Hz). • Menu item for fast access to the Presets folder. • Menu item to open the manual .pdf. • Chords module now defaults to triads instead of silence. • Preference added for default zoom amount (100/200%). • Preference added for test-tone default (on/off). v1.11a fixes an issue in Reaper (windows only) title bars overlapping on top of UI v1.11b fixes "arp rate" label not always visually updating in all hosts

Thanks John!! I rarely go into xfer's site (possibly only when someone in here asks a question which prompts me to make the effort). It'd be professional, advantageous, good, nice, a friendly courtesy if Steve would just send an email or link when these updates are released........you know, communicating with the customer base to keep the customers informed of updates.

Thanks TheMartian. Well, since I took your tip and stopped by the Xfer site to pick up the Cthulhu update, I checked on the others and there is also a May 17 update for LFO Tool (which I also grabbed): LFOTool for Windows 1.67 Can click for focus view lock on either Filter frequency plot (click background of filter section on left) or graph / do not draw filter plot (click in background in routing area). A border will draw around the corresponding section to indicate this is the locked view.added dedicated MIDI cc contorl for cutoff slider (59) and LFO Rate (60).fixed issue with lowest MIDI notes to graph assignments control.
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Has anyone experienced a problem whereby opening the GUI obliterates the arp preset you're using? Happened to me twice.....

I can't get the the arp to work nor can I get the chord function to work. Just to make sure I was routing/setting it up correctly, I followed Maartian's excellent guide here: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Chord-memorizer-like-on-Logic-Pro-m3417049.aspx When I click on the Arp button, the sound just mutes. The chord function doesn't do anything when selecting a preset.....(unchecking the Arp) I can only hear the synth I chose and/or the included Cthulhu synth. Summin aint right with this update.....

I just tested this new release with Rapture Session, and both the Chords and Arp functions worked just fine. Even though Step 4 is all CAPS, do you have BOTH MIDI tracks armed for Input Echo? Of course, I was following my own instructions, so maybe there's something that, to others, is not clear in them. If there's something you find, please let me know, so I can update them. Thanks in advance.

v1.15 is working fine for me with Sonar (and Studio One3 and Cubase 8.5). I just tried the arp section alone and it worked fine, and it worked with the chords on and off. Chord worked with arp and without it. Don't know why it is not working for you. Sorry.

I'm not sure what's going on either.....I even set up a new project with Cthulhu and Alchemy just to test out this problem and made sure I followed those instructions to a T (including "BOTH MIDI tracks armed with Input Echo").........no luck. To be honest, I'm not sure how to even trouble shoot this; other than just clicking on different input/outputs to see what might actually work. The only sound I can get out of Cthulhu is the internal synth (purple speaker) and of course Alchemy (when playing my midi controller keyboard). If you guys aren't having these issues, then it obviously HAS to be something I'm doing wrong.........

I definitely think there is something wrong with this update. It's not saving its state properly with the project. I had an awesome arp thing going last night as the result of an hour of meticulous twiddling and I saved the project. Loaded it up this morning and it's completely gone - Cthulu is just playing what sounds like the "Chords2Chords" preset or something. This is the second time it's lost its state in a project for me.

Thanks John, I appreciate the pic......I'll definitely use this tonight and see what's going on. Sharke, that's got to be frustrating as well....spending that much time on something and then lose it. Is there a way to revert to a previous version of Cthulhu (besides going through Windows 10 earlier date)?

I checked it out (briefly last night) and my setup is identical to yours John (except the output on Cithulhu (on mine) goes to Master (IIRC). Found out some strange things were going on with this plugin..... On the same project (Cthulhu, Alchemy, and also BlueArp (just to play around/test)) was opened. I just pushed 1 key on my midi controller and could hear BlueArp + some odd scale (diminished to outright weird notes) were playing. I deleted the BlueArp and only had Cthulhu + Alchemy.......now, the Arp function and Chord function both worked. Of course, it started playing some very high pitched arp patterns when I pressed low notes on the controller and some weird patterns (nothing melodic) were playing. Adjusted/tested/pushed buttons and other patterns in Arp & Chord and then they both played as it should..... I really don't know what caused it nor what triggered it to work...... most peculiar mama. When I have more time, I'll try to figure out what caused it.....
