Dimension Pro 1.5 - plugin and Sonar crash if editing midi matrix during playback

If I edit DimPro MIDI Matrix settings in Sonar while playing back audio, Sonar will crash.  Not right away, but maybe after 10-15 edits.  I think it's random and/or some sort of timing issue.  I haven't nailed down the exact cause, but messing with the source or destination while playing back, within 20-30 seconds, you will get a crash.
 
Anybody seen this?  Any workaround or fix other than just not editing matrix while playing?  Not really a huge deal to do that, but sometimes I forget and it sucks to lose some work!
