Still can't update using CCC...
Tried updating again to the latest SPLAT using the CCC. Still no go for me. Using Win7. Probably has something to do with also not being able to fully update Win7 on my DAW for some reason. But the last time I tried using CCC it totally trashed my existing SPLAT. I had to download the files directly from my account and manually update...which got me back to normal. This time the CCC got to the install part and while still running "initial SPLAT install screens" popped up over the CCC and then hung up on the "extracting files" screen. These screens (I don't believe) are supposed to pop up at all when using the CCC to update. In any case, I'll try to manually download the update and install today. Any info anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have never updated Win 7 on my DAW and have zero problems with the CCC. Must be something else.

Did you install CCC as Administrator and/or do you run it as Administrator? I did and I do, FWIW.

Does the image you downloaded manually differ from the image downloaded by ccc?

- Uninstall CCC
- Go to your Temp folder and delete the contents. Located at C:\Users\"your account name"\AppData\Local\Temp
Now try installing the latest CCC... and see if you can update Sonar.

Mine always seems to "give up" downloading, and never realizes it. It'll start, get to a random %, then just never proceed beyond that. Restarting CCC, restarting the download, reboot, reset WiFi, nothing seems to work better for downloading than to just use HTTP and download from the web site.

I'll try all suggestions...and thanks for providing them. But brconflict's problems sound exactly like mine.
