Nice sounds, I think it has potential, the mix seems to have a slightly hard/brittle edge to the sounds.  Not sure if it is me or not but it also sounds biased to the left somewhat.  I like the composition.

Beautiful piece.  I listened on my work computer with a 5.1 setup.  It sounded good here.

Yes, nice one! I am so extremely calm after hearing that. I like the "slow downs", you don't often get to hear that, and they are done very well.

Mix-wise I thing you are favoring the higher frequencies here, maybe you could add some more balls to the cello/contrabass/whatever the lower strings you are using? Yeah I know, balls on a cello, it's an odd request, have fun with that one.

Overall your piece would work extraordinarily well in a movie scene where something else is going on. Montage time!

    very cool

    Gus,

I liked this musical composition very much
The writing ,  song development, and the melodic motif movement is very good .
This composition has a nice moody somewhat pensive easy going vibe that feels like it's slipping in and out of what seems to be a musical day dream .
Yes , very powerful in places and somewhat well suited for background film musical type of stuff as far as the overall musical vibe goes in the places where you have a lot of rise and fall type of swells going on .

I do understand where Wookiee is coming from when he mentioned the left side speaker seeming more dominant  in your mix ...
Right off the bat , I noticed a lot of the faster attacks on the various instruments were on the left side of the stereo field and that a lot of the slower instrument attacks such as string swells were on  the right side of the stereo field ...
You know , not a crit just an observation ...FWIW , I did listen to this on my monitors at a little above TV volume ....

I wish I could write like this , I thought you did a great job with a little tweak here and there watch out

    all the best ,

    Kenny

Very nice indeed Gus, highly cinematic and evocative. Gave me an 'awake all night, and watching the dawn rise' kind of feeling - specific eh?  Love the ethnic tones that come in at the end, beautiful. Right up my street, enjoyed this very much.

    Nice on Gus!

The bass notes seem to only be on the right though, like they aren't in the same room as the stuff on the left.

Some staccato from the cellos and/or violas would have been cool early in the second half...just a thought.

    Nice way to wrap up.

Mix/pan aspect aside, I really liked this one.   It's got a cool vibe: not quite dark, certainly not happy, but just...  dreamy, in an "on film" sort of way.   If you can get the left/right balance & mix blended a bit more I think it's good to go.
