ProChannel Signal Flow Question

So I've been using Sonar for quite some time.  So in "Pre" mode, it goes Input --> ProChannel --> FX --> Output.  My question is the order in ProChannel.  I have EQ on top (1st), Compressor middle (2nd) and Console Emulation Last (3rd).  Does that sound about right?  Does is flow top to bottom?  You don't want compression before EQ.  I was told to have Console Emulation last.
I want to create a template (preset that I can use among all the vocal tracks).  Does it make more sense to add an FX Chain to the ProChannel strip and forego the "Post" FX bin.  In other words Input --> ProChannel (order = EQ, FX Chain (VX-64/BREVERB 2), Compressor, Console Emulation) --> Output.

    I've never understood why they put the Console Emulation last. That seems backward to me.

    PC is top to bottom. A chain inserted into the the PC will process at the point it is placed.

    You are right that signal flow in the pro-channel is top to bottom, And pre or post is before or after the fx bin. Not sure though about why you would put a reverb before a compressor when inserting the reverb, maybe use it as a send return. Also You can have your chain anyway you like, eq before compression, or compression before eq or even eq - compressor - another eq - console emulation. I think console emulation can go first or last in the chain, but I would do the same either way across all the tracks.
