This is my first time listening to any of your music . Hey Nice Tune .... Your song Going in Circles is very well developed and has a lot of real nice musical parts going on I found that recurring left speaker finger squeak to be a major distraction , it just jumps out too much ... That's it , that's my only real crit ....if that squeak is not an integral part of the song , I would loose it as fast as I could all the best, Kenny

Anders...long time bro...hope your well. kk I really like the direction....I know your used to pushing the vox back a bit which is ok but I'd like to bring the mids up a bit if they are going to sit so far back in the mix....otherwise its hard to make out what your saying...I really like the changes and progression your using...really fresh and appealing.... nice work bro!

Hi Tom... Thanks for listening and for your feedback. Aimed to have exactly what you described on the vox. Back in the mix and a bit subtile. (At least in the first part) There is always the danger of overdoing that. Harder for me to hear if the lyrics are too low, since I know the words by heart. Will for sure try and up the mids a bit. And maybe bring it a bit more to the front. Btw... been listening to your latest work posted here. Absolutly great! Very nice work. :) rdg Anders

I can not say I have heard any of you previous stuff either, but I quite like this. You have obviously spent sometime developing it, working on tune and the production. Some more definition on the vocal would nice for me too. Nice, thanks for sharing.

Thanks alot Wookiee.
It's a melody I had for some time now and been chewing on. Just never manage to make comp and lyrics for it... until now. :-)
I'm not very experienced with mixing and mastering so hard to get things right the first time around.
Thats why it's nice to get feedback and comments from you guys. Will do some more work on the vocal and also see if the finger-sqeeks can be toned down a bit.
Thanks for listening.

Very cool song. Agree with Pogue on the mids in the vocal. Your mix otherwise, is very nice; lots of power in the drums and guitars. Bass is right where it should be, but I think it could use some EQ to get more grit in it. Two thumbs up! Regards, Dan

Thanks alot Dan. Appriciate your comments. A question - If I want to increase the mids in the vocal. Would the best way to go about it be to use EQ, Mulitband compressor, or even both? rgd Anders

Honestly, I would start with an EQ. After that, you'll likely need to adjust the level again anyway, so you can decide if you need more compression at that point. Regards, Dan

I like it.... It's good a cool vibe, open and dreamy but still solid. The verb on the vocal seemed a bit heavy at first, but by the end it seemed to fit. If you have SPlat I'd increase the level of the Mid-High band then sweep it back and forth to see if a specific range gives you a bit more presence without being harsh. I'd also be tempted to try the PC Tape Sim after the EQ...

This is a great tune -- real power and great beat. Kind of like early Cure. I agree with the comments that the vocals sit a bit too low in the mix in the early part of the tune, but I always struggle with how to do that nicely so I'm not one to talk. ;-) The falsetto starting around 1:30 is really good, as is the chorus. You might want to find a way to introduce it earlier, if only a small taste, to lead the listener deeper into the song. (If I could sing like that, I would sing the whole song in the higher register!)

What are you going for? I really like the Sway guitar sounds at times/Tremolo with clean guitar. 1950's American sounding. I liked hearing this. Although as a listener I wish you would bring up the vocals a whole lot more because it's hard to hear any type of voice. Thanks for Sharing!!!!!!!

Damn, I LOVE this track!
Honestly, I wouldn't change the vocals at all. They sit smoothly and subtly for the first minute, right along with the feel of the track. And I like how they're solitary, without the falsetto. The only recommendation I would make would be to redo the overdriven guitar after around 2:30, with a sloppier, more dynamic performance. It's good as is, but disappears a bit because it's too nice (in my opinion). Anyway, i'm going to listen to it again right now before I move on to another song.

Thanks alot for listening Slugbaby and for your positive feedback. I'm honestly not a good guitarplayer, so will have to manually edit the solo. Thats why you find it too "neat" now I guess. But will for sure give it a go, and see if I can make it more dynamic/"sloppy" Also Thanks to Serious Noize. The vox will need some work. I'm planning to slightly up the mid-sections a bit. At least in the start of the song. Thanks again guys.
