Automated lanes on one track-cannot turn off!
64 tracks and they all record to the bus and master, BUT one track has the automated lanes marked as on and no matter what I do I cannot turn it off. It automatically pushed the level down to inf and does not let it play or record to bus or master with the other tracks. Perhaps it is a glitch in the system...it is such a little thing but it is shutting me down and I have lost over a week trying to solve this. (Also this post will not allow me to upload a graphic showing the problem. It seems to only accept urls! since I have not posted before it will not let me add an image? Should I post 5 times without and image so that I can upload an image of this problem? Do I have to post the image on one of my websites to be able to add it here?)

I'm not completely sure what you mean. You have an automation lane/envelope on a track and you want to get rid of it? Did you try disabling automation reading for the track (the little "R" on the track header). Alternatively, if you don't need the envelope at all anymore, right click somewhere on the envelope and select "delete envelope". Hopefully that addresses your problem.

I wish it were that simple. I can turn it on and off for all the other tracks, but one track will not engage. It seems to be locked in.

Whenever I try to even play the mix....this one track shuts its volume down to inf.

I now have sent five posts but still cannot include a visual about this problem! Any advice?

So what happens if you expand the automation lanes, right click the volume envelope and select "delete envelope"? I gather toggling the "R" button simply doesn't toggle it?

Toggling the R button works for all the other tracks, but not this one. This is Sonar Platinum! I cannot find an envelope that will allow me to delete. I do not want to delete the track! I wish I could send you a picture of this.

Could the track be archived?

This is my first project with Sonar. I had been using Roland's VS2480 which is another animal! How would I know if the track has for some reason been archived? Thank-you for your suggestions, I am very grateful to you. This is a problem I have to solve. I was able to send a picture to the personal support response but they just acknowledged my email. They said they would get back to me. Unfortunately, my free long weekend time is dissappearing for this project.

A track is archived if the "A" button is enabled.

In the automation lane, right-click on the envelope and select "Delete Envelope."

Try this: - Select the entire track by clicking the track number in the header. - Edit > Select > By Filter - Click the 'None' button to deselect everything. - Check only the 'Shape' box in the "Special" Events section. - Hit Delete on your keyboard.
