...Does Your PC see it as three Screen or Two and the Splitter software allows you to manipulate for a third screen...

No, the computer only sees 2 monitors in the Control Panel/All Control Panel Items/Display/Screen Resolution menu.
The same is true for the NVIDIA software.
I did try disconnecting the splitter and still and the crashing issue.  This same setup worked without issue on the previous version of Melodyne.

I did submit a project to Ulf Kaiser at Celemony  and he has passed the info to their developers so hopefully a solution is in the works.
In the meantime the workaround "Minimize the console view AND the Buses on the track view before you create a Melodyne region effect." is working good for me.

SONAR Platinum 2016.03 (22.3.0.71), Windows 7 Professional (Service Pack 1) 64-bit, 6.1, build: 7601 (x64) CPU: GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz.  RAM:6142 MB total.  Focusrite Saffire PRO 40 Firewire, NVIDIA Geforce 210, 3-monitors via HDMI& DVI, 3rd monitor is via active splitter from main monitor.

No word from Celemony yet since I sent them a repro package April 23rd. I just sent them a reminder email.

Martinv's workaround 1 (disable audio interface) didn't work for me. Haven't tried his other options yet.

Try post 26: http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3408295 and let me know if that works.

Rats, I meant to set my rating for the first post to 5! I just clicked on it, setting it inadvertantly to 3, now I cannot click on it at all! (no-entry sign)

Anyway - I am getting this, too.
I just wanted to get going with Melodyne 4 (4.0.4) so despite all these reports, I installed it.
Now I get crashes when I start Sonar (2016 4)

I have Melodyne 4.0.4.001 64bit
Driver latest Asio for Cakewalk UA-25EX (haven't tried with other of my interfaces, but I don't see this as driver related)

The automatic crash reporter opens, goes white, then everything freezes. Only option is hard reboot.

Hi Martinv, thanks for the tip. I tried your suggestion from post 26, and no luck. I completely close the console view, and minimize the bus pane in the tracks view, and I still get crashes when I create a Melodyne region. It happens with and without playback after opening the project.

I've received no word from Celemony, but I suspect my attachments were preventing my email from reaching them. Emails with attachments resulted in no replies whatsoever, but I just sent a pure text email and got an automated reply almost instantly. Now that I have a smaller repro project, I expect I can set up a transfer more easily than I could with my production project earlier.

Just my 2 cents to possibly help out. I have had a project crashing every time I try to close it. After reading this thread I did the roll back to 2016.03.0 build 71, it didn't help. So I went through track by track, I had one Region FX set up with Melodyne, and removed it. Now it doesn't crash when closing it. Another problem I've been having which is real recent, and I don't know if this is also related. But when I Export, I am getting terrible popping and cracking artifacts in my wave file, rendering it unusable. These artifacts aren't present when mixing. I may uninstall Melodyne completely just to see if this stops. My system is an AMD FX 8350 8 Core Processor, 4.0 GHz, 16GB Ram, 64 Bit, Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1. I'm also using Platinum, but never signed up for the rolling updates this year.

Update: Turns out the clicking and popping was my own fault. I assumed with a system like I have I could export as many tracks as I wanted with no issues, not the case. As soon as I bounced down my tracks and consolidated my project, things were fine. I'm still having issues with Melodyne, but so are a lot of people, I'm sure it will get resolved soon enough.

Good news is that I managed to get my repro project to Celemony. The do indeed block emails with sizable attachments so I wound up transferring the project as a bundle via Google Drive. Unfortunately, they didn't get a repro on their end. They reported being able to successfully create Melodyne Region FX on two audio segments that cause a crash 100% of the time on my end.

My repro project has a couple dozen tracks that are all empty and mostly archived, and a dozen or so buses that mostly receive no audio content. Only one track has audio. I started methodically deleting tracks and buses to see if I could identify a "poison" track that caused the crash. Deleting tracks does have an effect, but there doesn't seem to a specific track that causes a problem. After deleting about 3/4 of all empty and archived tracks, the crashes stop and I can reliably create a Melodyne Essentials Region FX with no problem. It doesn't seem to matter which 3/4 of the tracks I delete.

So far I've just dealt with Celemony for tech support, so next I'll contact Cakewalk directly.

Looks like this thread on the same topic has gotten more attention from Cakewalk folks:

http://forum.cakewalk.com...tinum-m3371621-p4.aspx

So I'm going to stop posting to this thread in favor of that one. And based on post #98 on that thread, Cakewalk already has dump files from multiple users, so I won't bother contacting them.
