Save Options

When I save a new project or export, I would like it to remember where it is saved.  That way the next time I'm editing or importing/exporting it would remember where the files were.  As it is now it remembers until I close out the project and restart it.

It will save wherever you specify in Preferences > File > Folder Locations > Project Files

It will also save all the audio in the same place. If you do a Save As you can choose whether or not to Copy All Audio With Project. I always leave this option checked.

I was proposing that these settings be part of the projects settings.
    1.     Where the project is
    2.     Where we may have imported from or exported too.
My typical structuring goes like this

    Drive Letter:
       MyMainProject Folder
           Different Project Revisions 1
           Different Project Revisions 2
           Different Project Revisions 3
           Different Project Revisions 4
       Audio Used For Importing
       wav's
       mp3's
So instead of changing it globally I was hoping it could be built into each Projects property's

Sonar works like any Windows based software and you can put any file anywhere you tell it to go while using the "save as" function. Hitting "save " will just update and overwrite the original file.

I keep all my projects in folders.
If you open my Data drive you will see a list of folders each one named for an album, band and my Backing tracks.
Inside each of those is the folders for each song.
There is also the MIXDOWN folder containing the WAVE and MP3 masters.
Inside those is everything to do with that song.
The CWP, MIDI, lyrics the Audio folder and other stuff like an MP3 of the cover song.
There might be different CWP files for different versions and now the saved mixed folder.

These are also all copied to other  data drives.
It is very easy to open Sonar which has been dircted to always open at the root of my data drive, and browse to the folder and song I'm looking for. Once you've opened any prodject it will show on the file list of resents.
