Copy a clip to a take lane?

Copy a clip to a take lane?

Is it possible to copy a clip from track 2 into an empty take lane for track 1?
 
I can't seem to figure this one out. Is this a dumb thing to do?

    Yes. Just hold down CTRL (+ SHIFT if necessary) and drag the clip.
