Layout confusion

I've been through all the recent updates including the fabulous new look, but either I'm losing my mind or something's changed in the way the views work. My favorite mode to work in is basic track view with pro channel on screen left, browser on screen right. When I wanted to work on editing in piano roll, I would double click on a midi track in track view and the piano roll would open to full screen, I would do my edits and close the window and be back at track view. Now, when I double click I get a split view with the piano roll at the bottom of the screen and I have to drag the top edge up to the very top of the screen to get a full screen view, once I'm done, I don't see any way to close that window and have to drag it down out of the way. Did something change here? I've tried searching the help files, but can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for.

The PRV is opening in the Multidock. Shift+D will maximize the dock, and D will toggle it between open and closed/minimized. The docked view is very handy, but if you want the full-screen PRV, right-click its tab at the bottom of the dock, and choose 'Undock', then maximize it.
