Step Recording

It would be so nice if when you opened step record that it defaulted to the current selected track not the last one you used. It drive me crazy when I am doing heavy midi editing.

    Wow, that IS pretty weird.
     
    I use Step Sequencer and not Step Record, and Step Sequencer will open for whatever track has focus.
     
    Have you tried using Step Sequencer?

    Step record is for surgical edits. Best if you are moving individual notes around. if I'm doing patterns then I use step sequence
