Updated LP EG and MB still loading CPU heavily when open (Correction: It's fixed!)

I just downloaded in installed the updated Engineering FX Suite 1.0.2.5

I am still seeing an enormous increase in CPU in the Task Manager when I open the GUIs.

Will this issue be addressed in a future version?

You do realize that these are mastering tools and with mastering people usually up their buffers/increase their latency which will bring down their cpu usage?

It's the GUI that's loading the CPU.
    Not the processing itself.

    Are you running onboard graphics?

I no longer observe CPU consumption. If you click on the lower right corder ("About"), when "Version" and "System Open GL version" you see?

Has anyone posted recommendations for using these tools?
    Buffer size (latency setting)?
    Mastering stereo mix only?
Used in mixing stage if ...?
If mixing stage all soft synths should be bounced?

I know mileage may vary based on hardware/system performance, but just some

    Best Regards,

These plug-ins have LP  (linear phase) mode (they have "non LP" mode also). To technically provide good output in that mode, they need big amount of data "from the future" and so the output from these plug-ins is significantly (0.7 second) delayed from the input. Sonar automatically compensate for it, so the whole output comes 0.7 of a second later then usual.

That means, either you have live input or modify any parameter (volume, synth, etc) which stay BEFORE this plug-in in the sound chain, you hear the result with huge delay. And so it is practically impossible to use such plug-ins live or during mixing. But as with any effect, there is no limitations on which stage you apply it.

Note that buffer size has no significant influence on the result when you use such plug-ins (it is within 5-50ms range, while LP adds 750ms).

It's the GUI that's loading the CPU.
    Not the processing itself.

How do you know this? The answer is not "because all the controls are flat." Most plug-ins are like vacuum cleaners - the motor's still going around even if you're not sucking up dirt

I must correct myself - it IS fixed! it's as you say, it's fine now.

    I tested it again.

    - First opened the Task Manager and selected the Performance tag (this is a German Win7).

    - Created a clean project, create one single empty track, added LP MB to FX bin.

    - Opened the GUI - No increase in load. (previous version caused jump to 70% load, just by opening the GUI)

    - Opened the Expert mode - still no increase in load. (previous version the load touched 100%, just by opening Expert window, and the cooling fan stepped up to high speed)

So it's fixed. Good good! Very happy about this!
