Creating Groove Clips

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do you create a Groove Clip?  I went to the help section online entitled "Creating and editing Groove Clips" and it gives me all kinds of information about editing (setting number of beats, changing loop construction view, setting tempo, etc.)  but nothing about creating.

I am trying to take two audio clips with different tempos and have them match.  I know I can do this with Audio Snap but I only know how to set tempo for the entire project using Tempo View and if I do that, I can't correct tempos in more than one track if the clips are in the same position, time wise, in the project, and in different tracks.

I would love to have the tempo set in the individual clips so I could make clips that are in same time frame but in different tracks have different tempos.

CTRL+L converts a clip to a groove clip.

The Creation process is actually easy - right-click on a WAV file Clip, and select "Groove Clip Looping" or type Ctrl+L.

However, the process of creating a loop that stretches over a wide range is a combination of art and science, so editing is usually involved. Also SONAR sometimes guesses the number of beats incorrectly when creating a Groove Clip, so you have to enter that information manually.

I've written quite a few articles and tips about loops, for example, Week 58 in the "Friday's Tip of the Week" thread has several useful tips.

Hey Craig,

I read your week 58 tip and I have not been able to change tempo.  Is it possible to change tempo within a  Groove Clip or do I have to change project tempo?

I enabled Stretch to Tempo and then changed original tempo to a lower number which speeded up the clip but changed the rhythm and parts were playing on top of each other at times.
Thanks
