Interesting Problem

I'm using SONAR Platinum.  I uninstalled some plug-ins I no longer need and now when I launch a project/template I get a Missing Plug-Ins warning.  How do I fix this?  I don't want to reload the plug-ins.

If your project/template has tracks that refer to absent plugs, this will happen. Change these references so they don't ask Sonar to load the absent plugins.

Is there an easy to check the tracks?  I went through each track and I could not find any references.  Is there a tool or CAL I can run to identify the effected tracks?

    create a new template.
im surprised more people don't take advantage of this feature.
that and screensets are key to quick set up.

this will also resolve your problem.

you can also just create a new blank template and just name it "My New project template".
it will be just like sonars template.

CAL is primary a MIDI scripting language it has no commands related to audio tracks or FX racks.

Creating new templates or even fixing existing ones would not fix any missing plugin messages for any existing projects where a referenced plugin is no longer available.

I thought one of those user-written Sonar Utilities that forum members have built and provided did some sort of inventory of what is used within a given project.  I do not recall if it could do its thing on a project folder without the project being opened in Sonar or not - but it might well be worth looking at.

Can someone who remembers where those utilities are posted please weigh in on this?

    Thanks! :)

The utilities Bob mentioned are here:

IIRC the one referenced is called project scope, but I could be wrong.
