No Input LED on Pro Channel FX Chain
I am using Sonar Professional. I have noticed that no matter where I place the FX chain in the Pro Channel FX area I do not get an indication of input(Input button does not light up). I know the input is happening but I do not see the LED indicator lighting up. Does anyone else see this occurring? Thanks

Yep, I'm not seeing it either. No matter how much I drive the channel into the red, the "LED" never activates.

The FX Chain clip light has never worked, ever. I'm guessing it's because Cakewalk were never decided on what the light should actually denote. Should it be a measure of the input of the FX Chain itself, or should it indicate clipping between plugins in the chain? For instance: imagine the input of the FX Chain is OK, i.e. not too hot. Now imagine the FX Chain contains 2 effects. The output gain from the first effect is clipping, but the 2nd effect brings the gain back down to the point where the output of the FX Chain is OK again. So you've got a situation in which the input and output of the FX Chain are at reasonable levels, but the signal clips between effect 1 & effect 2. What should the FX Chain clip light show? It's a tough one, and I believe the bakers threw their hands up in their air and said "screw it!"

I see your view on that. It would be difficult to measure the input down the chain or should I say within the chain. Thanks for the information ! Very helpful.
