Back On The Street Again

This is a tune I recorded a few years ago, sorry there are no vocals. I was experimenting with some FX with cakewalk software Music Creator 4 at the time and it was a learning process. As for the mix, so many things have changed from then to now with my setup and knowledge on recording. So it's ruff, but I thought someone might like hearing it.

Even though there are no vocals I thought this turned out sounding kinda cool. I lost the master tracks in a hard drive crash, but honestly I know I could do so much better now days on a re-do. Should I?

Would I be wrong by saying it's kinda a Boston sounding influenced song? I am a huge Boston fan.

Anyway, just thought someone might like hearing this older tune of mine.

Thanks for listening!!!!!!!!ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chopped full of mistakes, but I thought I would post it anyway thinking someone might like hearing it. Thanks to all who do. I'm no pro, this was another step at the time in my learning process, and I hope I done well.

It's a well put together rocker Bobby, hints of Boston for sure. Good riffs and the 'chorus' section certainly has a lift to it.

Timing is a bit shaky though, I'd say it's worth a revisit.

I happen to agree with James , your tune has potential and it may certainly be worth a revisit ....
The bass part and the drummer need to get on the same page if you happen too do the song over ...
Other than that , just for you my friend ...it needs more Tele

Thanks for taking the time to Listen. Yeah, it was a song I look back on as a learning process I guess you could say. It makes me laugh to listen to it now with the FX sounds I added at the time.
I've been thinking about remaking it and playing it fingerstyle playing or blues or something different. Not sure, maybe I should just remake it like my original thought was? I think I'll give it a go in the next few months with various styles and see how it sounds.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and reply. I got outa music for a long time, but lately I have been starting to hit the book and take the time to actually learn how to play music, It's a lot of fun for me to learn now. Hard to explain.

Thanks again! I'm no pro, but I do what I can to try bro!

Thank you James, it's an old tune, actually the more I listen to it I wonder what was I thinking at the time! I guess that is the beauty of music ya know, you can record your feelings through sound sometimes and they define how you felt at many moments in your life.

Thanks James, and thank you for the Drum offer, I know you are busy man, If I re-do this one you are the the first I will keep in mind for drums.

    Thanks again!

I love that sound! Guitar, bass, and drums sound slightly out of synk at 10 to around 18 sec and other spots. I think it's well worth a reworking! Add vocals too if you think it needs it. You sing fine and if you don't like it get someone to colab. You can take this invention anywhere from whats laid down. Good song good sound! YEAH Bobby!

Thanks Kenny, it is chopped full of mistakes no doubt. I've been working on trying not to make those in the future by practicing lately on things I didn't in the past when I made this tune up and recorded it.

LOL! I was the bass player/WANNA BE TRYING and the DRUMMER/trying to find my way at the time using bad midi techniques. LOL, when I recorded this I was just happy to be recording again.

LOL!!!! AND YES!!!!!!! It is in desperate need of a TELE!!!!!!
My heart cries when listening to this tune thinking of that illusive TELE that should brandish it's sound on the higher plains of the internet while gracing it's way with a somber sound in the twilight of a gracefully bombastic sound.

Hahahahaha, Uh, I was trying to say, that when "All else fails the TELE will tell the sound that time should be telling". Or is it "TELE"'ng?.

I've been trying to learn fingerpicking style because it's so much fun, but I guess I need to grab a pick and get back to beating on the strings instead of play with them! Hahahahaahaha

Thanks again Kenny, your music and playing are a great inspiration to all my friend!!!

Thanks Bill, I am thinking about re-doing this one. I know I can do better now days. WOW man, I was in such a hurry at the time and had no idea what I was doing, full of a lot of idea's but didn't spend the time to perfect them. I wish I could talk to the old me and go back in time and say : "Hey, you don't just make sound, you have to control how it feels". The old me would probably say........ Well, I'll save what the old me might say for another time. Hahahaha
I'm just happy to be around and love learning new things these days. I never thought learning could be so fun.

Thanks Bill, and your right, the drums are outa sync, At that time I was just throwing some drum sounds down and making stuff along with them.

    Thanks again!!!!

One more thing. You play the drums and the bass and any other instrument you think it needs. You'll be surprised at what you come up with if you spend the time on it! It also will teach you ,in the process, more about writing songs. Stay with it till you've finished then if it just doesn't work for you bring other players in.

plus ca change - you have great guitar chops and ideas. actually the mix is good too given the (i assume) limitations in drum vst. just needs a vocalist and your staying power/will.

Thanks Mark, I know it needs vocals, and words, I'm no singer and first impression's mean a lot where a songs vocals go, so I thought I'd spare everyone my vocals on this one, for now.

Thanks MGH, I wish I had your skills on playing the guitar it would make things a lot easier on a remake. I'm gonna work on it though. The drums will be the hardest part for me honestly, it's a simple standard 80's chord thing riff. Repeat/Repeat/Lead/Choose your destiny and fade away.... LOL, Yeah the fade was thing is like playing the game Mortal Combat you might say, if someone listens that long then they either like it or they don't where the songwriting goes.
Thanks again Man! I appreciate you taking time to listen. I think I'm going to re-do this one. Thanks again!
